Fun with extra value at this year’s Kinks & Kurls Expo!!

The 2nd edition of the Kinks & Kurls Expo was successfully organised on 25th March this year, the organisers did deliver on their promise of more exhibitors, more activities for naturalistas

The event was  held at Hilltop Naguru and got into gear at around 1 am and did not come to a halt till about 9pm with the primary attraction being the products, fashion and art exhibitions in the open space of the venue. In addition to that, there were activity bars (and a supervised children’s play area) for the attendees.

The bars included the Braid & Turban Bar, where one could get ones hair braided into simple styles using Kentaro Handmade Organics products. The Travel Bar, where games were available to win travel vouchers to experience Uganda with RoundBob. Business Bar where advice from the gurus from the Innovation Village on discovering the entrepreneur within you was available. The make up bar where make-up samples and products were available made possible with Make-up By Simply Sabz. A cocktail bar by NK Natural Kitchen also provided refreshing cocktails

Sabrina of Simply Sabz said,” it was great, was really lovely to meet a lot of people and offer my services to them, my main purpose was to get my name out there which I think was a success”

Della of NK Natural Kitchen said,” I loved the concept, having natural hair myself it was a good experience to learn more about the different products on the market whilst at the same time support my local Ugandan businesses. From a business prospective I was happy with the outcome of my stall, the coconut cocktails got a phenomenal response. The expo had a great ambiance and was a lot of fun to participate in. Hope to see more people next year as the event gains more traction.”

Angelo of Larouse had this comment ,”it was a good event really, my first time there! Was interactive with a general good vibe around.”
