Comedienne Anne Kansiime has thrown her weight behind musician Bobi Wine who is aspiring to join parliament.
Kansiime expressed her support for the “Bikwase Kyagulanyi” singer on social media where she noted that Bobi Wine speaks for the common people.
“Since am only a joker (comedian) and can’t talk when big people are talking, I will just pray this my ninja Mr Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu speaks for my grandmother, the insects and my nieces when he is finally sitting at the table of Men,” she said.
Bobi Wine is contesting for Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East constituency.
Bobi, who is standing on an independent ticket, will go against FDC’s Apollo Kantinti and NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu in a by-election that will be held on June 26.
The Kyandondo East constituency seat fell vacant following the nullification of FDC’s Apollo Kantinti election through court over noncompliance with electoral laws on the side of Electoral Commission.
